An Award-Winning Short Documentary

The Return Address (2020)

To connect the conversation around the repatriation of museum collections to wider audiences, I wrote, directed and produced this short documentary presenting both sides of a long-running art world debate.

Through conversations with industry leaders, the film breaks down the question of whether artefacts belong in museums or in their home territories, outlines benefits and challenges of repatriating cultural objects, and invites viewers to form an opinion on an important conversation that was, prior to the release of this film in 2020, highly gatekept.

The Return Address continues to be used as a teaching resource in museums and universities around the world, ensuring that this conversation can powerfully facilitate arts engagement.

Holy Craft! (2023)

I wrote, directed and produced Holy Craft! (2023), an independent documentary film series following a potter, printmaker, and team of historic boat restorers and tapping into their relationships with their work.

This three-part series of shorts takes an intimate look at the art of making and its connection to our cultural identities, emotional worlds, capacity for long-term thinking, and deeply creative brains.
